A Warning for Christians Who Believe their Security is Eternal

“You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned.”

A Logical Fallacy

  • SOME Former Christians were false professors of the faith.

  • Therefore, ALL former Christians were false professors of the faith.

'They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. ' - 1 John 2:19.

A problem had arisen within the church when 1 John was written, John was addressing the infiltration of false believers that were led by Cerinthus, a modern-day example would be Jehovah’s Witnesses calling themselves Christians; they teach gnostic doctrines and have never been born again because they do not worship Jesus Christ. We know from church history that near the end of the first century, and in the early second century, proto-Gnosticism, specifically Docetism, which teaches that Jesus only seemed to have a physical body, but in reality, he was only a spirit, arose within the church. They believed that his true teachings were not recorded but were passed down through secret oral traditions. By the middle of the second century its adherents were producing their own gospels and epistles, of which the false Gospel of Thomas and the false Gospel of Judas are examples.

1 John was addressing the Gnostics led by Cerinthus, who believed in a different Jesus than the one we know. You cannot apply this scripture incorrectly to Christians who have departed from the faith, who were real believers. But Peter does comment about apostate Christians who were born again.

'For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”' - II Peter 2:21-22

Contradictions of “If you have faith, works will follow. If you don’t have works, you never had faith.”

Jesus says in John 15 that the Christians in Him who do not produce works will burn in Hell.

'Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. ' - John 15:2 & 6

Question: If you were never a real believer, why would God call you a “branch in ME”?

1 John 2:19 has clearly stated that those were never of us were never born again, but Jesus is addressing someone that is of him, and says he will cast them into the fires of hell for not working.

Because of unbelief they were broken off, and YOU stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches (Jews), He may not spare YOU either. Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if YOU continue in His goodness. Otherwise YOU also will be cut off. - Romans 11:20-22
…But he who endures to the end will be saved. - Matthew 10:22

Paul Says He Can Lose His Salvation

The definition of the word Us - I and the rest of a group that includes me. You and I. You and I and another or others.

Paul is addressing the Christian Congregation and himself in Hebrews 6:

'Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let US go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, ' - Hebrews 6:1

Paul is not addressing a group of heathens; he is addressing Born Again Christians and then says that it is impossible for those who become partakers of the Holy Spirit and have tasted the heavenly gift (Jesus Christ) to come to repentance after falling away.

'For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned. - Hebrews 6:4-8

It is a lie when people say that if you fall away then your faith wasn’t genuine, Paul said in the above chapter that those who fell away have tasted the heavenly gift and were partakers of the Holy Spirit and that it is impossible to bring them to repentance. Judas Iscariot was a born again Christian and he is rotting in hell right now. Has your conscience been seared? If you deny this truth then most likely it has been seared, for it is impossible to bring you to repentance, since you crucify again for yourself the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. You love your sin more than you love God, it is the only reason.

Other Scriptures

'Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.' - James 5:19-20

If you cannot lose your salvation, how is it possible for someone then to wonder from the truth, how can you lose what have not had?

Nowhere in the entire bible does it say a man is justified by faith alone. In fact, the only time the words “faith” and “alone” are mentioned together in the Bible are when its emphatically denying we are justified by faith alone:

“You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.” – James 2:24
A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. - Luke 8:5-7
Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. - Luke 8:12-14

The seeds on the wayside are people busy about life. The Wayside represents a busy road, these people are about the things of the world. the gospel never ever is received, it is trampled on by the foot of men, the busyness, and the things of this life. they never become born again they are the only one out of the four that never received life.

The ones on the rock who receive the word do become born again but when they receive just a little persecution, say from their family or friends, they fall away.

the ones that fell among thorns are like those that fell by the wayside, except they have received life and the ones on the wayside never received it.

It is obvious from this parable that Christians can lose their salvation.

Lack of the Fear of God Has Led 66.6% of “Christians” into an Addiction of Pornography

  • 70% of Christian youth pastors report that they have had at least one teen come to them for help in dealing with pornography in the past 12 months.

  • 68% of churchgoing men and more than 50% of pastors view porn on a regular basis. Of young Christian adults 18-24 years old, 76% actively search for porn.

  • 59% of pastors said married men seek their help for porn use.

  • 33% of women ages 25 and under search for porn at least once per month.

  • Only 13% of self-identified Christian women say they never watch porn — 87% of Christian women have watched porn.

  • 57% of pastors say porn addiction is the most damaging issue in their congregation. And 69% say porn has adversely impacted the church.

  • Only 7% of pastors say their church has a program to help people struggling with pornography.

The reason these statistics are high is because Christians do not believe they will lose their salvation, they have been misled by wolves in sheep’s clothing who teach that once you are saved, you are always saved. They have turned the grace of God into a license to sin, no matter how much they deny it:

'For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.' - Jude 1:4
'“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. ' - Matthew 7:15
'For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naïve. I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. ' - Romans 16:17-18

I know from my own personal experience as a former Jehovah’s Witness, I could not break my addiction to porn no matter how hard I tried because I was taught that when I die, I would vanish, cease to exist, there really wasn’t a punishment for me. When I became born again, the fear of Hell became real, I knew I could lose my salvation and that hell was real, after a 12 year battle, Jesus delivered me from that filth and I never went back to it. This time I really had the fear of God. But most “Christians” I know that believe in Once Saved Always Saved have some sort of lewdness in their life, whether it is porn or watching movies and shows (Game of Thrones, West World, the Office (crude jokes), anything Netflix has made) with sexually immoral content in them, or even sexual immorality in the marriage bed. Do not be deceived the sexually immoral will not inherit the kingdom of God, we must turn away from every form of evil!

'nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, ' - I Corinthians 6:9-10
'Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. ' - I John 3:7-8
'Abstain from all appearance of evil. ' - 1 Thessalonians 5:22
'because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Professing to be wise, they became fools, who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.' - Romans 1:21-25,32

Leaning Upon Your Own Understanding Instead of Being Taught by the Holy Spirit

'always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth… having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power... - 2 Timothy 3:5-7

We do not come to an accurate knowledge of truth by our own reasoning abilities, but the Holy Spirit will literally teach us, and I am not referring to a person thinking their own thoughts are from God, but literal encounters with God just like the stories in the Old Testament.

'Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.' - Proverbs 3:5-7
'But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. ' - John 14:26

Men like John Calvin, John Macarthur and the rest of the wolves did not come to their understanding through the Holy Spirit, they relied on Greek Thought, which is the wellspring from which the intellectual, ethical, and political civilizations of the West draws. These men worship their brains, not God, this is why they are always learning and never able to arrive at an accurate knowledge of the truth, because of their pride. These false teachers then write bible commentaries, books, essays, dissertations, etc. created to mislead; and Christians today put their faith in these writings and false interpretations instead of what God is saying, for it is prophesied:

'For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables (Bible Commentaries). ' - II Timothy 4:3-4
'“…by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established. ' - Deuteronomy 19:15

I know 2 men who had an encounter with Jesus, one was taken to Hell for teaching the satanic doctrine of once saved always saved, the other went to Hell for being lukewarm, caused by this doctrine. Jesus told the pastor, that if he kept teaching and believing that you cannot lose your salvation, Hell would be his punishment, he was then left in Hell for hours and was shown his congregation in the lake of fire, and they asked the Pastor why he deceived them. The other man was told by Jesus to choose him or Hell as was dangled above the Lake of Fire. Whose words are you going to believe, Jesus’ or Man’s? One read a book and established a false interpretation. The other is God. Are you going to gamble with your eternity? If I am wrong, and I am not, nothing happens to me, I am a real believer. If you are wrong, you will spend all of eternity in Hellfire.

'He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.' - Proverbs 29:1
'And say: “How I have hated instruction, And my heart despised correction! I have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, Nor inclined my ear to those who instructed me! And you mourn at last, When your flesh and your body are consumed,' - Proverbs 5:11-13

Once Saved Always Saved: An End Times Deception

'Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.' - II Thessalonians 2:3,10-12
'For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. ' - II Timothy 4:3-4
'Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound (O.S.A.S.), the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. ' - Matthew 24:11-13
